In Tatler UK’s October issue, photographed by David Oldha, Lydia Hearst is clothed in the many brown hues and textures of fall. I imagine the week beginning with such style, a bit of a rush, but nonetheless looking radiant, beautiful and ready for just about anything.

The Power And Versatility Of Nude

In nude designs beginning with the heels, don’t forget the fishnets, beautiful dresses, plush coats, undergarments and more, model Anja Rubik serves as a reminder in Vogue Latin America October 2010 the powers of such a neutral color. Photographed by Marcin Tyszka, part of me just wants to cozy up in the oversized knits, while the other part of me wants to pull off a Carrie moment (a la Sex and the City – first season) in the above short design.

A Dream Of A Kitchen

I’m always anxious to see how interior designers and fashion designers live. To me it would seem that their home would have to be a place that provides them with inspiration.  The opportunity to take a look into interior designer Christopher Peacock’s kitchen in Traditional Home  this month and what a beautifully inspiring space. With the contrast between the white cabinetry and dark hardwood floors, the kitchen, nook and family room exude a warmth oddly enough, as well as a very clean aesthetic. Vogue Turkey – October 2010

Sleek & classic designs with the help of this fall’s thick heeled pumps, 50’s femininity, and a traditional color palette, Hilary Rhoda and Julie Stegner share the spotlight on Vogue Turkey’s October 2010 issue.  Photographed by Cuneyt Akeroglu the models are perfect foils for each other in a mix of color and black and white photography.

Ralph Lauren’s Manhattan Retreat

Clean and classic, much like his designs, Ralph Lauren’s fifth avenue duplex exudes the All-American simplistic style that walks down his runways. Exhibited in October’s issue of Elle Decor, he displays very clean lines throughout his home and you’ll find his bathroom, which uses mirrors quite magically, frames an exquisite view of Manhattan.  Have a look.  (If you would like to read the entire article, click here.)

Feminine Sophistication

The long, lean silhouettes of the thirties were evident in the recent resort collections displayed this early summer, and what would be better than for models Caroline Trentini, Jourdan Dunn and Chanel Iman, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, to remind us of the beauty and sophistication these designs can exude. Found in the pages of October’s issue of Vogue US, the floor length body skimming gowns, classic sequin monochromatic sparkle, expertly hung trouser pants and head-hugging caps are quite appealing.  What do you think?

A Stylish Sunday Stroll

Sunday always seems to me to be an opportune day to stroll about the city, taking in all of its unexpected beauty whether it be a picnic in the park, brunch with friends, window shopping or enjoying a new exhibit at the local museum. In Marie Claire UK’s October 2010 issue, model Cassandra Smith is photographed by Kim Myers Robertson portraying exactly what I imagine a fashionable and stylish woman might look like on such a day this season.
