Robin Wright (Penn?) – Vogue Italia June 2010

I always admire and appreciate the beauty of a woman in her forties and beyond more so than any young gorgeous model just beginning their career. The reason being is that as we all know, maintaining one’s beauty is an ongoing and conscious task, and while it does involve both inner and outer components, a beautiful woman who has weathered her twenties and thirties and continues to exude confidence and good looks is something that didn’t just happen, and should be applauded.

In this month’s issue of Vogue Italia, Peter Lindbergh strays away from his typical subjects in the world of modeling and shoots some exquisite photos of actress Robin Wright Penn who is a wonderful example of a woman of true beauty. At the age of 44, there may be a few lines here and there, but she owns them gracefully, and they speak of experiences and stories to tell.  Have a look at a unique collection of images.

Adriana Lima - Vogue Spain – June 2010

Sultry and sensuous. Whether she is walking the catwalk for Victoria’s Secret or gracing the cover of Vogue Spain, Adriana Lima seems to be able to make anything look breathtakingly beautiful.  There were a bevy of amazing photographs taken for her editorial in the June 2010 issue, but I selected just a few that were my favorites.  Take a look.  Click here to view the entire collection.

A Beautiful Pair - Matthew Morrison and Vogue

Glee’s episode Tuesday, May 25, on Fox will include attention given to the creatively talented Lady Gaga.  This will be one episode, along with the Madonna tribute which aired in April, that I will have to DVR. There is just something about music and dancing that moves my soul. 

My interest was piqued even more when I received my Vogue US June issue which included Glee’s Matthew Morrison. I have to admit, I was swooning just a bit at his editorial with bikini-body-perfect model Raquel Zimmermann.  Together they demonstrate on a yacht in St. Barth’s how casual and cool lounging can be. Word has it that the 31-year-old spent the three days prior to the photo shoot eating only sweet potatoes as they are supposed to draw all excess water out of the skin.  Doesn’t sound like much fun, but I have to say, he looks smashing!  Click here to see even more images.

Retro Housewife Fashions are of a luxurious quality in Vogue UK’s June 2010 editorial.  Shalom Harlow does a lovely job of portraying an extravagant life with the help of stylist Lucinda Chambers.  Traditional high waisted skirts, gorgeous accessories and bold prints speak louder than any words can convey.
