Fashion’s Night Out Opening Ceremony 2010
The fashion, the stars, and the incredible official opening ceremonies of Fashion’s Night Out around the world kicked off with a CBS televised event September 7th at the New York Fashion Week’s new location – Lincoln Center. Set your DVRs to watch the entire show Tuesday, September 14th on CBS.
The largest public fashion show in New York history, this event appeared to whet the appetite for all those who love and appreciate fashion. Sponsored by Vogue magazine and Spec Entertainment, the event drew 1500 ticketed guests to the plaza at Lincoln Center. One hundred and fifty of the world’s top models opened and closed the ceremonies which began with the arrival of the most well-known names in the modeling industry stepping off of a double-decker bus while the tune of “Empire State of Mind” played for the audience.
Fall fashions were on display as they were paraded throughout the many runways at the plaza. To read more about all of the designs and celebrities that were spotted, click here. All in all, it appeared to be an amazing night to be in New York, and I can’t imagine a better way to begin what is fast becoming one of the most magical days in the fashion industry. Have a look at a handful of images captured during this fifteen minute hurrah.

WOWEE -- I almost feel as if I had been there -- that shot of the opening ceremony from above ... can you imagine how exciting that would have been? Thanks, doll, for giving us a little of the glamorous excitement here where I am ... faraway from FNO! xo Now if we could have been there together with dinner first and drinks after ... perfect!
ohh everyone looks gorgeous!!!
I heart Gisele!
Thanks for sharing what an event,
I honestly think DVF and Anna look better than the models!
I was at the FNO in Paris Sept 7th. Actually I'm still here and loving it. And it didn't seem as big a deal here although there were thousands of skyscraper models teetering on their stilettos.
My 6'5" husband who can see over all the crowds stopped me across the street in front of Chanel on Rue Montaigne and said "Clare...isn't that Karl?" And it was - Karl Lagerfeld. It was a delight to see him!
The stores were lit up magically and the crowds were in awe.
