Elie Saab – Haute Couture – Fall 2010

At The Simply Luxurious Life it is my goal and intention to only bring to the page images, ideas and inspiration I feel can be defined as luxurious or allow you to bring more luxury into your life.  With that said, when I came upon Elie Saab’s Couture collection for the Fall of 2010, I didn’t even have to question whether it should be included on the blog.  Luxury graced the runway with every model’s step displaying gorgeous evening gowns and deep, rich colors and textures you just want to immediately feel between your fingers.  Velvety red, pale sage, elaborate gold, and silver glided down the runway in the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris Wednesday afternoon.

Intricately hand embroidered beads and crystals by the thousands covered many of the designs by the Lebanese designer whose client list includes Queen Rania of Jordan, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and a handful of Hollywood royalty.   When asked about his inspiration for the collection, he replied it was from the concept of the phoenix rising from the ashes.  And he most certainly delivered beautiful, princess worthy designs with his show.  Congratulations and a much deserved bravo.
