Armani Prive – Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010/2011

Class and sophistication were not in short supply at the Giorgio Armani Prive Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010/2011 show held at Espace Vendôme in Paris on Tuesday, July 6th.  If only I had the pocketbook or the connections to wear such garments, what a delight that would be.

The sensual drapings at the nape of the neck, and the warm neutral, amber and grey tones reassure me that each frock could easily be worn year after year with continued compliment.  And the gowns, oh, the gowns.  Surely, a handful of well-deserving actresses will be cloaked in one of the gorgeous designs next season for the Academy Awards as they exude simplistic, yet jaw-droppingly beautiful design and perfect accentuation of a woman’s figure.  Have a look.  I’d love to know what you think and which ones are your favorite.

I looked through the collection yesterday and loved the decision to celebrate amber (although it's not my color) - so beautiful. I remember when his Prive collection first started and was not very well received. Now it's considered serious, so much is just about staying power I think.
