DVF Reveals Home Decor Line
Tomorrow (June 17th) Diane von Furstenberg will reveal her much anticipated DvF collection which includes a line of bedding and bath items as well as tabletop decor. Eager shoppers will have to wait until next January to purchase her lovely goods, but at least we’ll know what we’re waiting for.
Known for her wrap dresses and arrays of fabulous prints, it appears she will stick to a similar theme when it comes to decorating the home. While Furstenberg is most well known for her clothing line, she is not a novice when it comes to creating an exquisite aesthetic look within the home. She has decorated suites for Claridge’s hotel (which will be unveiled next week), as well as styled her own homes in New York City, Connecticut and Paris. Along with this already impressive list, she has also created her own rug collection.
Diane’s philosophy when it comes to the home, "Instead of designing for the body, you are creating an environment. But it’s the same in terms of functionality and the need for it to be colorful, happy and harmonious."

About her pied a terre in Paris she says, "New York is work, and Connecticut is my family, but Paris is me--me alone.” To see more images from her place in Paris, click here.
The DVF flagship store located in the Meatpacking District in NYC, where Diane lives above in the penthouse suite. One corner of the structure is topped by a Olot, Spain-made faceted glass sphere that is part of the penthouse suite and seems like a gigantic diamond fallen from the sky. What amazing views of the city she must have.
Below are images of her showroom and design facility in New York City.
