Ina Garten’s Parisian Pied–a–Terre

Last week a reader left a comment asking about Ina Garten’s favorite flower market in Paris, and in search for the answer I found her beautiful Parisian pied–à–terre and had to share the images.  While it was shown in the November 2008 Town & Country, the apartment still radiates old-world charm with fresh touches.

And to answer the question that prompted the initial search - Marianne Robic (39 rue de Babylone) – quoted by Ina to be “a great flower shop”.

Something Looks Familiar

Using the Nancy Meyer’s film Something’s Gotta Give as a muse to help decorate this New York City apartment, designers James Michael and Phoebe Howard created a classic Hampton look-a-like home that was revealed in the pages of House Beautiful for a larger showhouse project titled Designer Visions: Cinema Style. Have a look.  I know it made me want to pull out what is now one of my favorite DVDs and sit down and enjoy the repartee of Keaton and Nicholson.

The view . . .

Before or After

The vision of what she wanted is now a reality it seems. After two attempts of designing model Jessica Stam’s one bedroom, just off of Union Square apartment, it seems she is very happy with the end result.  In Elle’s June 2010 issue, Stam shares the most recent make-over of her home after its first attempt took place in 2008. Click here to understand exactly why she felt she needed the change. While there are more images of her previous style, the colors in Elle are much more muted and subtle.

But I’m curious, which do you like best?  The first three images are of her current design and the remaining photos appeared in Elle Decor in October 2008.  Please share your thoughts.
