Yves Saint Laurent – Pre-Fall 2011

The Pre-Fall collection of Yves Saint Laurent was revealed in Paris on January 25th with the help of model Zuzanna Bijoch. A very feminine touch with skirts hitting just below the knee, high necklines and collared capes. In hues of deep plum, shades of gray and gorgeous sapphire blues and emerald greens, the rich tone continues from what we saw on the runways for the 2010 Fall collections. I especially love the monochromatic outfits that reveal a taste of a woman’s physique, but not too much.  Take a look and share your thoughts. I’ll be curious to know what you think.

Gucci Pre-Fall 2011

In Milan a few weeks ago, Gucci’s Frida Giannini’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection exhibited a reminiscent tone of seventies style with turtlenecks, wide-leg pants, high-waisted trousers and elongated styles with flowing body-skimming dresses. Somewhat similar to her Spring RTW 2011 collection, where the 70’s appeared to be hinted at, she paired femininity with a bit of flare – a la the fedora. I have to say, I can’t help but gush, as I could see myself in so many of these tailored and beautiful styles (to see the entire collection, click here).
