Valentino – Fall 2011 RTW

In Paris today, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli revealed Valentino’s fall collection. Full of knee-length A-line skirts and modest necklines, multi-textured dress, leather trenches awash in soft blushes, deep chocolate browns and ivories, the collection remained most certainly feminine with thinly belted waists and demure hair styles. Zac Posen – Fall 2011 RTW

All of the names, Karlie Kloss, Coca Rocha, Jessica Stam, Carmen Kass and Crystal Renn were on hand to dance down the runway for Zac Posen’s second appearance in Paris as he displayed his Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection Thursday.  With nipped waists and cropped trousers, his tamed down feminine appeal is very relatable to any woman who wants to looked pulled together, classic, yet stunning. Ports 1961 – Fall 2011 - RTW

Fiona Cibani Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection for Ports 1961 came in all shades of gray, and while this might at first glance sound like a drab idea, I have to concede that all of the pieces here (aside from the beautiful dress above) would be something that I would feel very comfortable wearing to work.  Nothing over the top, nothing too loud loud, simply well tailored, gathered tightly at the empire waist, hitting just at the knee – very professional, but pieces can be easily translated into a dinner out in the middle of the week. Have a look.

Oscar de la Renta – Fall 2011

With inspiration derived from Eastern and Middle Eastern culture, Oscar de la Renta stayed true to a theme of luxurious opulence. With touches of fur, Moroccan Beni embroidery and velvet shoes, the models were dressed quite richly for his Fall 2011 collection. (To see the entire collection, click here.)
