Classically Lush Femininity

Being a woman truly is a gift. The luxuries a woman possesses if she so chooses to exercise them and enjoy them are something to hold dear I believe, and I find myself being more and more appreciative of this fact with each year that passes.  I also find that I try to revel it even more with each bit of realization of the simple fact that a woman’s opportunities can be endless – especially when it comes to fashion.

Jacquelyn Jablonski appears in August’s issue of Telegraph magazine and the strong classic designs in the beautiful wool belted trench, highly structured hair, tremendously oversized sunnies and long leather gloves expresses the need for a woman to do what she does best – exude femininity. And as photographer Catherine Servel captures, Jablonski demonstrates this skill oh so well.

Summer’s Not Over Yet

Oversized accessories, short shorts and skirts, light bright colors and fun, crisp designs.  With all of the excitement that I am just as much guilty of regarding the imminent arrivals of all of the September issues, we must not forget that we still have August.  A time to soak up more of that luscious bronze color, a few more evenings to dress a bit more flirty than serious and don’t forget the revealing of a bit more flesh.

In August’s 2010 Allure magazine, Marina Linchu dons some over-the-top, but attention grabbing accessories paired with lovely and creative designs.  Be inspired to concoct a few of your own ideas for your August wardrobe from these photos and enjoy the next few weeks of summer.

Jessica Stam – Harper’s Bazaar – August 2010

Let’s fly away and take in the jovial energy and awakening colors and culture of Spain, shall we? Jessica Stam evokes a bit of this feeling for me as she poses in Seville, Spain, for Harper’s Bazaar US’ August issue.  Alexi Lubomirski photographs her alongside matadors, atop horses, all while wearing vividly bright colors styled by Clare Richardson.

Tommy Hilfiger’s Apartment at the Plaza

Tommy Hilfiger and his wife Dee show off their new home at the Plaza in New York City which is perched atop one of the highest floors. At the age of 59, Hilfiger continues to demonstrate throughout his home that clean classic lines can still exude elegance.  The two-floor condo that the couple purchased in 2008, can’t help but to create a bit of curiosity about the larger than life names that once were guests at this storied hotel – Marilyn Monroe, Jackie O, and The Beatles, just to name a few. “If these walls could talk,” Dee muses.  The interior design goal, Dee explains, was “. . . to create an old-world atmosphere complementing the old-world Plaza.” Located at the corner of Central park South and Fifth Avenue, their rooftop terrace allows the residents and guests of the house a stunning view of Central Park.  Have a look and enjoy the tour.  To see even more images and read the article in August’s issue of Harper’s Bazaar, click here.
