Atlanta Royalty

Atlanta Brave Derek Lowe and his wife Carolyn’s home with the help of architect D. Stanley Dixon and interior designer Betty Burgess is a combination of soft and feminine in aspects, but also solid and masculine with it’s clearly defined shapes and interior choices. With a the background of white to play with in most of the rooms, the clean aesthetic would most quickly set one’s mind at ease. Read the entire article here.

A Dream To Come Home To

When Mayer and Beau Buisson moved into their two story home, they already knew who they wanted to help them with the interior design. Barbara Howard, a college friend of Mayer’s mother, worked with the young couple to create a welcoming, functioning home that can withstand the visits from their many nieces and nephews, as well as provide comfort and style. Found in Atlanta Homes magazine and photographed by Mali Azima, this home exudes the aesthetic that draws me in – light neutral tones where the quality is present and the unnecessary is eliminated. I especially love the idea of the casual eating area at one end of the kitchen.  I can just imagine grabbing a cup of tea, the newspaper and sitting on the long couch welcoming the day.
