Thursday Treasures
Have you ever been in a moment when you are fortunate enough to realize that while it may appear to onlookers it is something simple, to you it is something lovelier than words can describe? Last night, I found myself in such a moment, sitting next to the fire, one dog snuggled at my feet while the other played and I made myself stop and be thankful.
These are the moments that I savor, hope I have the opportunity to enjoy more of and am ever so grateful to be able to appreciate. Here is a look at my treasures during this past week . . .
. . . relaxing by the fire . . .
. . . a bowl of soup on a day resembling winter . . .
. . . a French breakfast with lovely conversation . . .
. . . sound nights of sleep . . .
. . . and time with my pooches.
What are you grateful for?

Feeling grateful for every day I have left in Paris - still so much to see, do and eat, but I'm up for the challenge!
Mmm, that soup looks amazing!! (Even at 8am!)
I'm grateful for good health and having room to make mistakes. And of course for tasty soup, freshly painted fingers & toes, wagging tails, and to-do lists fully crossed off.
you got me at the soup!
I am grateful for all the little things in my life right now, like my doggie, my family, and our spending time in our first home :)

What a lovely thought - we should all take a moment to appreciate what we have! LOVE your shots but especially the gorgeous French breakfast picture - I would be there in a nanosecond!
Oh How I love this post. I completely agree with you. Years ago, I read a fabulous book by Leo Buscalia (I think I spelled it wrong) called Living, Loving and Learning. It's an amazing book. He had a "love class" at the university he taught at and was saying how we can all look at a tree and see something different and it's so true. I love your post and it sounds heavenly. I'm behind on my own blog and reading blogs since I have been traveling. Last night I got home from Dallas and sat on the couch with the tv on in the background curled up in a fluffy blanket, drinking a hot cup of tea and my little Ginger plopped on the pillow above my head looking down on me. Utter bliss. I'm grateful for little moments! I love all your images.
I do believe the simple things are the most important things after all. Puppies at your feet. Good soup on a cold day. Time to leisure. Sunshine. Today I am forced into the house and kitchen to prepare an early Thanksgiving dinner for my family (15) because I will be out of town over the holidays and instead of a bother, it is a pleasure because I love to cook and haven't had much time to do so. So while I'm in the kitchen with the smell of pumpkin pie in a quiet house and a cup of tea while sitting at a white marble island ... heaven.
Amazing and inspiring pics. I'm grateful most for my family, nights spent cooking with the husband, having passion for things that I love, good food, and shoes. :) xo
such a beautiful moment when that happens... a smile within that one cannot describe. I love this post, and am personally thankful for the closeness of my family -- the unconditional love we share, and also, for small miracles that I happen to witness and that leave me completely amazed...
Hope you are having a splendid week so far :)
xoxo
