Manhattan Simplicity
A European aesthetic was the intention when Steven Harris Architects renovated a series of window-laden condominiums on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, specifically 54 Bond Street. The Bouwerie Lane Building is known as one of the city’s most significant cast-iron architectural landmarks and with the renovation becomes even more of an attraction. With crisp, calm neutrals, a less is more approach and unadorned windows, one is greeted immediately about the amount of natural light streaming into each room. Take a look inside.

pretty, pretty apartments!
OMG, I love this! Love the herringbone pattern wood floors, the high ceilings, the black kitchen & all the windows. A brilliant re-do.
xx's
As much as I love my historical home, I sometimes think it would be fun to have a loft with big windows with light pouring in overlooking an awaiting city. If I ever leave this house, it just may be for something like that for a fun change!
the tv stand..too cool
It's a little too cool/minimal for me, but I can appreciate that in a city like Manhattan, a space like this could be very soothing.
That said, I adore the kitchen - both the gray wall, and the architecture.

Gorgeous apartments. I love the huge open spaces of these sunny airy lofts.
