Short and Sweet
The sweet arrival of Saturday and that feeling of waking up and reminding yourself there is no need to rush. Relief, a bit of a smile and one more quick hug of the pillow. Ahhh . . . .
You may have noticed that yet again I did not have a Foodie Friday post. In my defense, it was not due to lack of trying to produce one. My first attempt at Julia Child’s Filets de poisson Gratines a la Parisienne, while a misread of the directions resulted in a slight catastrophe in the kitchen, has only strengthened my resolve and understanding of how to read her recipes. The second time is going to be a charm. After all, it is not a failure unless you refuse to learn from it, correct? And I most definitely feel I learned something already. Trust me, when it done successfully (which will be next time) I can’t wait to show you.
As a result, my dinner last night was very unexciting (well, it was exciting in it’s own way, just not very enticing), and I couldn’t bring myself to have a glass of the bottle of chilled viognier I had waiting. (Although, that probably wouldn’t have been very placating.) For now, feast your eyes on the truffles above as a temporary replacement.
Upon looking back over the past week, I realized I have posted far more than I expected. The fashion world really did have my wheels turning. Here’s a look:

I can't wait to see how the second attempt at Julia Child's recipe turns out. I'm so challenged in the kitchen - I admire anyone who can cook. Have a beautiful weekend!
