Issa Spring Lookbook 2011

For me, I must confess, it wasn’t until Kate Middleton became the talk of the media that I learned to appreciate and discover the talent of designer Daniella Helayel who founded the design house Issa.
Since then, however, I have been obsessed. A beautifully constructed dress can do wonders for any woman if it is draped appropriately, is made of a flattering color for the woman’s skin tone and even better, if it is made of such luxurious fabric that it feels amazing to wear. Issa's dresses take care of all three.
Beginning in 2001, Helayel began designing her own dresses when she couldn’t find what she wanted – a dress to make her feel comfortable and glamorous and be versatile enough to take her from the work to play. Originally from Brazil and now based in Chelsea, London, Issa is worn by many recognizable stylish women – Jennifer Lopez, Keira Knightley, Madonna, Scarlet Johansson, Kristen Davis and a favorite of Miss Middleton’s.
Made of soft, silk jersey in distinctively gorgeous colors and unique prints, Issa is a design house to put on your list to visit as you fill your gaps when in need of a dress that can take you almost anywhere. Here’s a look at the Spring 2011 Lookbook.
