With the royal wedding just around the corner, London and all things Great Britain seem to be on my mind and scattered ubiquitously throughout the media. Which makes it even more fitting to showcase the spring/summer collection of designer Katherine Hooker who can rightly claim the soon-to-be princess Catherine Middleton as her client, as well as Sarah Brown, Yoko Ono, Jerry Hall, and Clare Balding just to name a few.

The collection seems to sport an effortless feminine intrigue with the rough and tumble attraction for the nippy foggy day. With careful attention to detail, each piece is individually made in London and takes approximately four weeks to complete. However, upon welcoming one of Katherine Hooker’s designs into your closet, you are sure to have it for years to come as it will continue to get better with age and care.

Katherine describes her designs by saying, “I design clothes for people to live in. Clothes can change the way people feel, the way they walk and even the way they conduct business. I like the simplicity of that. You can step into your jacket and feel a million dollars.”

Simplicity paired with feeling like a million dollars? Now that sounds like a simply luxurious approach.
