A Functional and Welcoming Foyer

The entrance into a house is the first impression of your home, so take time to create a clutter-free, functional space that also reveals a touch of your personality. Here are a few essentials that will help create the aesthetic that will cover all of your bases.

*a rug or runner

*a console table or small buffet

* a light (overhead or lamp)

*a mirror

*a coat rack or hooks or coat closet (place for coats, shoes and outdoor clothing)

*a conversational dish for keys and anything else you need as you dash out the door

*optional (art – sculpture or hanging)

*if space (a chair or bench)
