A Romantic Addition

There is just something about the image of opening French doors or windows that invigorates the soul and allows you to feel a bit more empowered as you welcome the day, your company or begin a special event. The air of romance invades the room it seems wherever French windows and doors are incorporated into the design. Whether it be in the bathroom, bedroom, dining room, living room or kitchen, there really are very few limits as to where to include this interior design idea. Have a look at the images below to see ideas on the many ways you might want to best use French openings.

Lovely pictures ~ love the ones that have a lot of white the best, I think ~ so fresh feeling ;). You know I love french doors. I thoroughly enjoy the french doors in my studio ~ three sets back-to-back that I can fling open to the backyard squirrels scampering around. Tudor homes are typically quite dark and our dining room was that way. It had an original window positioned to leave enough room for a buffet under it. We tore it out, as that window faces the same back yard as my studio and put french doors in its place (we just moved the buffet to another wall)

Cannot get enough sunlight! xo

I love french doors and windows! We have french windows that open up on the front of our house to the porch (don't go all the way to the floor) and my husband and I always look forward to fabulous weather so we can open them.
