Where Tranquility & Beauty Abound

You may best remember her from Will & Grace, as the sassy, brash, always carrying a cocktail glass as she flung around the quick retorts to her fellow co-stars. Megan Mullally’s home whom she enjoys with her husband Nick Offerman of Parks and Recreation, located in the Hollywood is very serene and inviting and is entirely Megan Mullally’s design idea.  Purchased in 2003, this one story home only inhabits one television which is odd in the simple fact that their livelihood revolves around the screen, but Mullally and Offerman both admit to being homebodies who truly enjoy simply being at home.  And I must say, who wouldn’t want to remain at home with the views of the L.A. basin and Pacific Ocean from their backyard.

Photographed by Miguel Flores-Vianna for the September issue of Elle Decor, there are so many cozy aspects that grab my attention – the velvet couch in the living room, the multiple sleeper sofas, an appropriately wallpapered guest bath and the expansive wall to floor windows throughout.  Oh, and don’t forget the swimming pool.  Have a look.  I think you might just find yourself, as I did, thinking about taking a visit to southern California.
