Cups of Tea 4/25-5/1

Sunday.  A day of rest.  A day to unwind and make our own.  A day to take in the pleasures that aren’t readily at our fingertips due to a lack of time or obligation to others throughout the rest of our week.  Hopefully this Sunday is one that you are able to tailor make just to your liking.

Today’s Cups of Tea revolve around the theme of spring and what opportunities, gifts and reminders it brings with it - from the beautiful blooming flowers of Paris to the tasty produce that can be found at the farmer’s markets that are beginning to go into full swing.  Go ahead and grab your hot cup of caffeine and get cozy back in your bed, favorite chair or couch.  Enjoy a perfectly personal Sunday!

1. Invigorate Your Next Vacation

Willow Jarosh’s post for Bob Greene’s The Best Life Blog serves as a reminder that no matter what type of traveling we may be doing in the future, whether it be for personal or work purpose, we can always incorporate a more healthy atmosphere into how we go about our business, beginning with how to pack.  Take a look at her 6 tips for Slimming Travel Tips.

2.  Museums & Fashion

Haute Design’s  Sarah Klassen displayed a handful of images that tie together fashion with one of my favorite museums in Paris – the Musee de Orsay.  I can vividly remember my first spotting of the clock that is pictured below.  Have a look at even more beautiful images by clicking on the header or the photo below.

3. Paris in the Spring

Just thinking about visiting Paris in the spring makes me a bit giddy, and when that someday arrives that I am actually in Paris during the spring months, I probably will have to instantly check my pulse. The Check Your Paris blog shares why they feel spring in Paris is without question the best time to be strolling the streets of the City of Light.

4. A Farmer’s Market Treat

Some of the most welcome news made about this time of year is the announcement of when our Farmer’s Market will begin.  Between the sporadic rain, wind and hail as of late, it’s no wonder they are a bit slow getting started.  Aran of  Cannelle et Vanille ‘s  beautiful food images were the initial reason I stopped by her blog, but after having discovered a handful of recipes I’d like to not only look at because of their ability to be so photogenic, but also try at home, I began to have confidence that I too could create such beautiful snacks.

5. Dreamy Inspiration

One of the blogs that I visit frequently throughout my week is Simply Seductive.   Linda, the creator, is continually discovering and sharing with her readers the beauty that is around us all by way of fashion photography, and it is quite clear that she has a very discerning eye.

It's nice to visit the blogs you go for inspiration, and I am quite smitten with that pretty teacup of yours. Indeed, Paris is such a charming city. She charms even the birds flying high above the city;-)
