This & That: No. 3

Another app to try for all you fashion lovers, a house to peek inside and a simple, yet luxurious item to add to your wardrobe . . .

~Blog

~Girls of a Certain Age Kim France, former Lucky editor and Sassy writer, has just started a new blog for women in their 40’s and beyond who are passionate about fashion, but are thrilled with the experience and wisdom life has brought them. With a dose of humor and stylish ideas to serve as inspiration as you pull your next outfit together, stay up on the fashion and social scene while you plan your next shopping trip.

~App to Try

~Pose – Lovers of Pinterest and street style fashion, I have found the app for you. A free download on your iPhone, Android and iPad, Pose, which just gained Rachel Zoe and her husband Rodger as part shareholders, is a social site to follow a long list of fashionistas who constantly are snapping photos of their latest outfit. However, you don’t need the app to enjoy. Simply go to their home page, create a username and begin following your favorite styled stars, bloggers and more.

~Shopping

~Eric Bompard cashmere sweaters – Quality cashmere sweaters are one of the must-have additions to a woman’s wardrobe, and if you are going to invest, follow Ines de la Fressange’s advice shared in her book Parisian Chic, and purchase a sweater from Eric Bompard. Based in France, with the long list of colors and styles, you will have no problem finding the ideal sweater for your wardrobe.

~DVD

~We Bought a Zoo Based on a true story about a zoo that is still up and running, this movie will warm your heart as Cameron Crowe’s direction does a convincing job of demonstrating dreams can come true, and while keeping a family together isn’t always easy, it certainly is something worth putting your whole effort into as the rewards can be quite amazing.

~Traveling Tips

-Packing Advice from a Travel Pro Who Has Never Checked a Bag Simple, yet stylish advice from Nicole Banks, Gilt City Curator, who believe it or not has packed successfully for 11-13 day trips without checking one bag. I don’t know about you, but I want to know her secrets.

~Decor

~Ellen DeGeneres's home featured in Architectural Digestlocated in Beverly Hills, Ellen’s home shared with her wife Portia de Rossi is full of light, personality and warmth. While reportedly, they have put it on the market for $49 million (purchased for $39 million), I look forward to the next home they will refurbish if it is anything like this interior creation.
