Rachel Zoe – Spring/Summer 2012
Described as “easy glamour”, Rachel Zoe’s 2012 Spring collection and first presentation during New York Fashion Week would transition well from the office, to the coveted cocktail party and then to a casual stroll or shopping trip. Swarmed by photographers as you might imagine, at the Broadway showroom, she attracted her clientele as well which exacerbated the situation – Kim Kardashian and Molly Sims. With Rachel Zoe’s style shining through each of the designs – long hems, tailored jackets over loose fitting dresses, jumpsuits and touches of bohemian inspiration (however, Zoe actually strayed away from her flared jeans in the majority of her pants) she has created a collection that is functional yet true to her signature style.
As noted by Style.com’s fashion writer Nicole Phelps, she isn’t setting trends, but she is remaining consistent and delivering a product to her customers that is well made, fits well and as Bergdorf Goodman’s Linda Fargo attested to, so far as been selling very well (Fall 2011 collection) and appears to be able to continue this performance by the reception of her most recent collection.
