The Simply Luxurious Life®: The Weekend . . .

July 1, 2011

The Weekend . . .

Ah yes, here in the states, the long Fourth of July weekend. With many festivities, travel plans and the ubiquitous red, white and blue – this is one of my favorite weekends of the summer. The warm days, sparkly nights, food, lively conversation and a requirement of absolute relaxation. Even if you live outside of the US, these should be must-do items on your weekend schedule, don’t you think?

I hope this past week, whether long or short, has been spectacular, and whether it’s romance that is brewing or plans that are coming to be that you’ve long anticipated, I hope it went well and goes well for you.

Periodically, I receive email from readers who have ideas for posts or are asking for advice based on what is going on in their lives, and I have to say I genuinely appreciate your trust in me, as well as thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to give guidance that is helpful and objective. To all of my readers, never hesitate to contact me, as I always have an ear to listen.

Here’s a look back on the past week on The Simply Luxurious Life:

*The favorite post by a landslide: To Complement, Not Complete

*Mad Men & Banana Republic (look for this lovely pairing in August)

*A mix of style ideas: summer, winter, travel – Style Inspiration

*Why Not . . . Be Casually Elegant?

*The Rachel Zoe Project (and the opportunity to purchase her Fall 2011 collection)

*Find Your Inspiration – where I share what works for me and other ideas

Ooo, that really makes me wanna dress up in red/white/and blue! :) Unfortunately this year will be a little less patriotic for me, since not only am I out of the country but I'm also going to be out in the middle of nowhere with a whole bunch of non-americans. :p I'll still have to rock the colors, though!

Very cold and wet here in Australia, as it is the middle of winter. Glass of red and a roaring fire for sunday I think. Enjoy your weekend, and love the lady in red, very chic.x

Yes, we are enjoying wonderful food, wine and great company to keep us warm here in Wintery Australia.

Enjoy the fireworks and Happy 4th July all the way from Sydney.
