Chloe’s Fashion House Changes Hands
Twitter has broke major fashion news again with Chloé as the fashion house announced this past Monday that it was handing the reins of the creative director position, held up until now by Hannah MacGibbon, to Clare Waight Keller, who left Pringle of Scotland this year and is moving to Paris to begin her new role at Chloé on June 1.
Having worked with the Parisian fashion house for ten years and held the role of creative director since 2008, MacGibbon has been credited with bringing more femininity and romantic touches to the brand, an area that was lacking with the previous designer - Paulo Melim Andersson. However, the new chief executive at Chloé who took over late last summer is looking for someone to make the brand more global and accessible using more avenues, such as the vast opportunities with social media, to communicate with a greater audience, as well as be able to communicate well within house.
As far as experience is concerned regarding Clare Waight Keller, she has more than enough adequate hands on training as she has worked under Tom Ford at Gucci, as well as well spent time at Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.
