Cups Of Tea 11/28-12/4
There is something special about a Sunday that follows a Saturday in which a lot of work was accomplished. Being able to relax without the worry that chores need to be completed while seeming mundane, is never-the-less a tremendous weight to be removed from your mind.
Hopefully you too are finding your Sunday a treat and reward of sorts for a job well done, and are able to relax as you feel like it today. In this week’s Cups of Tea a tasty, decadent cupcake recipe awaits, a reminder to continue to believe in magic, snuggly sweaters, a touch of romance and good advice to heed from a woman with endless and inspiring amounts of energy and optimism.
So do join me with a hot cup of goodness this morning, and may your day be absolutely as you need it to be.
Winter instigates the need to pull out the sweaters, the cozy, soft, cashmere or merino wool sweaters. Erin of Apartment #34 pulled together a handful of looks that just had me wanting to get all cozy and stay inside with a lovely book. How about you? What type of sweaters do you tend to wear during the season?
Matt Bites is a food blog I have been following for awhile now, and his passion for food is infectious. When I stopped by earlier this week, I discovered he had shared his recipe for Meyer Lemon and Ricotta Cupcakes with White Chocolate Buttercream Frosting, and honestly, my mouth began to water a bit. Lemon, buttercream, ricotta . . . cupcakes. Yum.
A dash of romance during the holiday season is always good for the heart, and Tiffany & Co. sure has outdone themselves this year. Keeping it simple, yet elegant, set in scenes maybe many of us have dreamed about, they most certainly make the heart beat a bit faster. Do you happen to have someone who is hard to shop for? Or perhaps you are searching for that perfect gift that they wouldn’t purchase for themselves, but would love intensely? Tiffani of ACCIDENTAL Chic recently checked out Elle Decor’s coffee table book Style & Substance and gave it rave reviews. She also pulls out specific pieces of advice on how to pull a room together. After reading her post, you might be putting it on your wish list.
Life can throw an array of obstacles and unexpected circumstances at each of us, but by continually moving forward, better days and more opportunities come. Franki Durbin of Life In A Venti Cup shares some beautiful thoughts on choosing to stride forward. Have a look.
Tis the season to believe in a little magic, but why not believe in magic all year long? Caitlin Flemming of Sacramento Street shared the following quote earlier this week, and I found myself in complete agreement. What do you think?

Gorgeous images Shannon, and being a Brit my favorite has to be the first; a good old cup of tea (solves all problems you know!)
I really love your snippets of advice and the other blogs you have suggested. I'm off to read them now (I will definitely be trying the cupcakes).
Have a lovely Sunday Shannon.
Hugs from Spain.
Oh my, those cupcakes look incredible. I have a number of old cashmere sweaters that I love to wear around the house for casual sunday stuff.
Plenty of great recommendations here -- thanks Shannon! xo ebh
All that's needed is a bit of milk for the tea.
