In the ubiquitous gold Balmain dress, Anne Hathaway appears fierce, but at the same time very vulnerable on the cover of ElleUK’s December 2010 issue. Photographed by David Slijper, her teased tresses and brooding eye make-up demonstrate her seemingly endless versatility going from feminine on the cover of November’s Vogue US issue compared to her strikingly stunning pose’s exhibited here.

She looks gorgeous. She was never someone I would have previously called "stunning", but she certainly looks it on this cover.
