The Simply Luxurious Life®: A Home Day Spa

A Home Day Spa

Some pampering, a soothing hot tea, calming music filling the room, and the addition of a crackling fire, but the simple luxury is that it is in your very own home.

Barry Dixon designed this Washington D.C. master bath to embody just these qualities and also evoke an air of romance. Found in House Beautiful, click here to read more about his approach.

With enough room to set up a massage table, soaking tub waiting to be leisured in and soft textured chairs to wait in, my daily morning routine would most definitely runneth over.

Yes, if I had a bathroom like this I would most definitely be late for work every day. I would also have to come up with a better name for the room, perhaps "little piece of heaven".

Makes you want to convert an extra bedroom into a spacious bath large enough for a massage table. I can see walking into this bath in the morning and feeling heated tile beneath my feet and the sound of soft classical music in the background. What a way to start the day!
