Cups of Tea 8/1-8/7
Sunday. A day to reflect, relax and slowly gear up for the week ahead. It is amazing to me how quickly the two days of the weekend fly by and as a point of fact, here we are at Sunday already. Amazing. How are you doing? Are you rested? Are you energized? Maybe you need a bit more time today to yourself. Whatever you need, I do hope you’re able to acquire it because it isn’t until we fill our own tea cup to the brim that we are able to share our true goodness with others.
Today’s Cups of Tea includes a recipe for all of those fresh berries you have been seeing at the farmer’s market, a very thought provoking quote from an actress that you might not expect, inspiration and ideas when it comes to health and fitness, a luxurious restaurant to visit in Beverly Hills and an easy way to bring a bit more pampering into your life. Enjoy your reading and welcome to The Simply Luxurious Life.
1. A Restaurant I’d Like to Frequent
A Casa da Va this week shared a restaurant she dined at recently in Beverly Hills, Villa Blanca and I have to say, even if food wasn’t being served, I would love to visit this business. A very European aesthetic with rooms bathed in white. Have a look at the entire space, the menu, and the owner. I think you’ll be impressed.
The summer presents the perfect opportunity to get outside and stay fit, but sometimes we tend to over do when it comes to achieving our fitness goals, and we wind up burning ourselves out. This also translates to our diet as well. A guest blogger on Zen to Fitness shares a handful of tips on how to keep it simple when it comes to staying healthy by way of what we keep in our home, how much we exercise and our mindset for approaching the issue. Great food for thought.
Darjeeling Dreams’s pies are a constant reminder that we must reap the benefits of the three short summer months of fresh produce. A few weeks ago, I highlighted her Honey-Peach Caramel Pie and this week’s Blueberry Pie looks just as delectable.
Ideally, all pedicures would take place at a spa, but sometimes we need to give ourselves this pampering treatment at home and what better way to make it an enjoyable experience than to use quality products? Kiki of Life Sunnyside Down shares tips and products for turning this experience into something you might make a regular habit.
A Penny for My Thoughts, authored by CJ, is a delightful blog full of inspiring thoughts weekly and beautiful images of fashion that I find myself always appreciating. Once again, the quote she chose for this past week was something I had to share with you. Have a look.
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."
-Marilyn Monroe
Have a lovely Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed perusing through everyone’s blogs this weekend and am very happy to be back.
