A Dream Vacation Home in Bridgehampton
The new issue of Traditional Home is on newsstands now and it is their ever inspiring Before & After issue. One of the house’s featured inside is a family vacation home located in Bridgehampton, New York. Owners Greg and Nina Richter began the renovation of what used to resemble an oversized barn in 2006. To compare the before and after pictures is an impressive sight. And while I only included the after images here, you may visit the entire photo collection on the Traditional Home website.
With the help of architect Stuart Disston and interior designer Ken Gemes, this renovation is stunning, inviting, and casually classic. Have a look.
The architect completely restructured the unsymmetrical structure in the front of the home and extended the roofline to create two graceful gambrels.
The exterior of the back of the house was also restructured with the addition of the right chimney which matched the one already in use. The beauty of this particular chimney is that it is multi-functional with a fireplace in the sunroom as well as a grill on the porch.

I love comparing before and after photos. This house is stunning. Who are these people anyway and when can _I_ move in?!
stunning home! - too 'formal' and 'traditional' for my personal taste - but it's STILL stunning!!!

yeah there is definitely a pretty famous source for that quote although I can't remember it offhand. I actually discovered it through another blog awhile ago. It's the best kind of quote; concise yet full of meaning & truth.
