Solitary Indulgences
At the end of any given day at work, the first thing I want to do upon arriving home, is slip off my heels, take off my watch and jewelry and plop down in my oversized armchair, placing my feet on the ottoman. A bit of a hug can be found in chairs that are this welcoming.
An even better way to maximize the comforts of your favorite chair is to snuggle in with a blanket, some good reading material, or enjoy a film or show you’ve been wanting to watch and lose track of time.
Out of curiosity, what is your favorite place to relax in your home? Below are a few looks at a single armchair just waiting for someone to settle into while simultaneously letting out a sigh that releases all of the day’s stress. Enjoy perusing and don’t forget to take a few moments during your day to just be.

These pictures are so inviting! It sounds terrible, but as soon as I come home I run to back to the computer again to work on my pictures. I guess in the end my only true relaxing space it THE BED. xo
these are all great! I love the mint green chair the best...
Great! Now I want an armchair! ha
Such a beautiful post! My favorite place to relax is in "my corner" of the couch. It's a really overstuffed couch and I like to curl up in the corner with my legs and feet tucked under me and read next to the lamp I placed beside it. It's not as glamorous as the photos above, but it works. ;)

I have an older, blue velvet, plush recliner that is my all time favorite place to crawl up and escape! Love love love these pictures - they cater to my {not so secret} chair fascination / slight obsession. Thanks for sharing!
So gorgeous!
I love those plush overstuffed chairs. Im dying for one in my bedroom!

I have a great papasan chair with an ottoman... the chair is shaped like a bowl, and with a pillow, blanket and a kitten or two, it's a fab spot to read, watch a movie, or take a lil cat nap! ;)
I love the chairs in photos five and six! I would love to get an overstuffed chair to curl up and relax in. Unfortunately we do not have an area to place it at. So I make do with what I have. I usually curl up on my bed or on the loveseat.
Happy Tuesday!

I absolutely agree, my armchair with matching ottoman is my fave spot to curl up with a book or a magazine, watch TV, cuddle with my toddler... You are absolutely right, it feels almost like a hug!

Great photos!
I like my couch, preferably with my husband's chest as my pillow.
I love those armchairs. And I would love a free moment to relax when I get home from work. Usually doesn't happen until my boys get to bed. By then I'm just exhausted.
These are beautiful! My favorite place to relax in at home is in our large grey velvet chairs -- they are so plush and comforting :)
All of these pics look like places I would love to curl up. But I hate to admit it, I am lazy and tend to spend a lot of time curled up in bed. Maybe if I had a lovely arm chair like one of these I might have a new favorite place.
