Cups of Tea 10/3-10/9

We are well in the throes of fall and hopefully you are able to find time to either take in a walk in the newly fallen leaves, soak up the beautiful of the season, take in a sporting event, read a delightful engaging book without looking at the clock, make some exquisitely tasty pumpkin treats, or maybe event visit a pumpkin patch to pick out your very own pumpkin.  Whatever you are doing today, I hope you enjoy yourself and thank you, as always, for taking time to stop by The Simply Luxurious Life

This week’s Cups of Tea revolves around the idea of inspiration, whether it be a quote to provoke your mind to imagine more amazing dreams, icons and historical women to remind us all of what we are capable when we refuse to give up or simply the stylish wardrobe of a young French beauty.  So grab a cup of hot caffeine and revel in the leisurely beauty of Sunday.

1. The Stylish Girl Behind the Fragrance

I recently came across a fun and fashionable new blog by Shopgirl titled Sugar & Spice, and trust me when I tell you you will certainly find some beautiful fashion and all sorts of other goodness on her site.  About a month ago, I discovered a new found love for Chloe’s fragrance, so when I came across this post which revealed more stylish images of the model, I have to say she most certainly evoked an image of a fashionable, feminine, beautiful French young woman. Have a look.

2. A Unique Fall Dessert

In 2012 look for Deb of  Smitten Kitchen to release a cookbook published by Knopf, and my fingers are crossed that this particular recipe will be included. A Single Crust Plum & Apple Pie. Doesn’t it just sound like fall? And the crust adds such a unique take on an ordinary concept.  Something to try indeed.

3. Stylish Inspiration

Other women hold such an influence as a demonstration of what is possible if only we choose to go forth after our dreams and Heather Clawson of Habitually Chic shares a post of one of these such women – Diane Vreeland.  Where would Diane von Furstenberg be without her? A woman who knew fashion and a woman who was willing to speak her mind. Have a look at the stylish life of Ms. Vreeland.

4. An Inspiring Woman

As a child, I can remember the tale of Peter Rabbit, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I learned and became intrigued by the woman behind the story.  Beatrix Potter was quite the formidable and creative independent thinker for her time and to watch the film Miss Potter, I have to admit, I was inspired by her perseverance, her love of animals, her ability to follow her heart and to give back. Daniella of Dress Design Decor shares some lovely images of the star of the movie – Renee Zellweger – as well as images of the author herself, and the beloved children’s story.

5. Continue To Dream

There is just something about aphorisms that provide fuel for motivating me toward dreams that I wish would someday become my reality and Paloma of La Dolce Vita shared a very straight-forward, yet not-the-less true quote about what it takes to make dreams bloom into your reality.
