Cups of Tea 9/12-9/18
Sunday. A day to relax, a day to allow yourself to slow down and catch a breath or two. Fall is almost here and with its imminent arrival the rain showers have been teasing the Pacific Northwest with their intoxicating fresh scent.
Today, I do hope you are able to find time to take it easy, as it is in those moments of quick respite that we are able to prepare more aptly for what is just around the corner.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some freshly brewed tea, a snuggling pup or two by my side and a good perusing through all of the blogs I’ve missed this past week due to my gallivanting all over the state of Oregon it seems. Today’s Cups of Tea include some talented and fabulous bloggers – a bit of a citrus taste, advice for how to handle those moments of quandary and beautiful images to simply gawk at. Have a look and enjoy.
Debby, creator of Inspired Design has a very discerning eye when it comes to decor, so when she decided to pair fashion ensembles with particularly decorated rooms, it was no surprise that she did a fantastic job. Have a look at exactly what outfit she paired with the image below. I’ll be curious to see if you agree. I know I was impressed.
Darjeeling Dreams continually shares with her readers sweet treats, each of which I find myself wanting to create myself. The cake pedestal alone would have caught my attention, but the piece de resistance is what lies on top – a lemon tart. Click here to find this delectable recipe.
Maybe the transition into fall has been a bit of a struggle, maybe you feel as though you’ve lost your direction a bit, or maybe you simply want to continue to create an even more amazing life than you already have. Whatever the case may be, Barrie of Live Bold & Bloom shares some fool proof advice on how to get back on track.
4. A Woman Revealed (via her purse)
Beautiful Things To Share’s creator Charmaine most definitely lives by the namesake of her blog. Consistently sharing beautiful images, this particular post revolving around a woman’s most functional accessory is a creative take on styling. I sincerely believe that one can learn a lot about a woman simply by taking a glance at her purse, and if any of these lovely totes were mine, I wouldn’t mind having everyone’s gaze.
5. Let the Possibilities Emerge
If ever you need a dose of inspiration during your day, you will find exactly what you’re looking for if you stop on by Dwelling and Design, created by the lovely Sara. Pairing such engaging and fantastic images with her quotes, she clearly has fun creating each post. This particular quote by Gloria Steinem while paired with a hysterical image, makes a very accurate point about dreaming. Have a look.
“Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.”
-Gloria Steinem
Here’s to a lovely Sunday.

Lovely images and post as usual Shannon. That lemon tart looks so delicious. My home here in Seville is surrounded by orange and lemon trees. I wish I could just pass you some lemons over the proverbial "garden fence"; wouldn't it be great to be able to share so easily? The best things about friendship is the sharing.
Have a lovely Sunday Shannon ;-)
