Splurge & Save Outfit: No. 17

As someone who steers clear of trends most of the time, I am always keeping a look out for quality classic essentials at a great price, or a price I can at least afford if I save up. One essential item that I still do not have is a black leather jacket. So with Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale underway (running until August 4th), I was quite pleased to find La Marque’s leather jacket reduced to a price I am considering.

And since the theme of this week’s Splurge & Save Outfit is about classic wardrobe items that will last for years and seasons to come, I pulled together two looks that incorporated solely essential items that can easily mix and match with other items in one’s closet. Have a look . . .

that alexander mcqueen leather jacket... just stole my heart. I hope to one day be able to afford such beautiful, artistic pieces.

"Reduced to a price I am considering ". The jacket is beautiful, but I like your wording even more a woman who is master over her life and finances, who considers carefully, thoughtfully, not just slapping down plastic. Admirable.
