Giselle Bundchen – Harper’s Bazaar June 2007
Three years ago, Karl Lagerfeld captured these radiant images of Giselle Bundchen for Harper’s Bazzar June 2007, and I began to reflect back on where I was three years ago. What were my dreams? Where was I in my life? And I thought I’d pose that question to you. If you were to look back only three short years ago, what would you recall, how far have you come, how have you changed? Are you ever closer to achieving those hopes that seemed at first intangible?
These alluring, extravagant images seem so surreal upon first glance, but what if, as one of my favorite bloggers tweeted a few days ago, what would you do if you weren’t afraid? What would you be willing to do to make your dreams a reality you were able to engage in every day?
It may be a long road, but keep in mind today’s earlier post about making small tweaks. Start now doing something day in and day out that at first may seem insignificant, but if done repeatedly, will reap great opportunities and rewards.

You know I was thinking the same thing, about achieving goals and where I'm going, if on the right track or not.
Well, I think I'm doing pretty good, probably not as fast as I would like, but getting there.
Thanks again for the inspiration and these decadent photos.

Another lovely post Shannon. Well I was just thinking about the past 3 years this morning...I moved out of LA 3 years ago to a much quieter place to focus on being with my dad at the end of his life. I worry constantly about the move and the ramifications for my career. However, I like it here so it's a toss up for now :)

I love this editorial - I first saw it on {this is glamorous} a while back and am so glad you've resurrected it!
It's amazing to look back on where we were in life just a short while ago. It puts things into perspective of how far we've come and how much more we can still do. I know for me, this is absolutely true. Ultimately the same truths I believed then hold steady now - Today may bring its obstacles and hardships, but as sure as the sun rises and sets everyday, the world is full of possibilities and beauty if you're willing to search it out. Enjoy every moment of everyday - it's worth it.
While I enjoyed my vacation very much, I missed your blog! So glad to be back. :)
it's amazing that we're from the same country. you'd think I'd be maybe even just 1% as fabulous as she is. nope.
In the past 3 years I have learned something. I now know what IS important and what IS NOT important.
That may not sound like much, but for me, to be able to say "these things are what is important to me and these are not" has made an incredible difference in my life. It has taken an immense pressure and stress off my body. I am now happier than I have ever been at any point in my life before.
It didn't happen the way I thought it would, but that is what I wanted 3 years ago, to be happier than I've ever been before.
Cheers!
J.
That pic under Decisions Decisions....breathtaking!
You see, these photographs are so completely brilliant & gorgeous is because you have 2 people at the top of their game; no contenders for either one of them. This allows complete freedom of creativity from both. Your questions are to be considered, very thought provoking. xo's
God she looks amazing! ANd I agree, wouldn't it be amazing if fear wasn't an option. Your earlier post on making small tweaks is an excellent idea for everyone. Nothing is going to change in massive waves. We are creatures of habit. So do it slow! great post

'Heavenly and celestial' comes to mind on seeing these pix
If I weren't afraid, I would move out on my own, find somewhere to live and find a job that I actually like.
Three years ago, I was pretty much in the same place, just less worldly. Now I'm worldly - so that's nice.

Oh honey I always love your photos and Giselle is such a goddess. Gorgeous shots! What time are we meeting her for lunch? Come stop by to see my favorite Italian cooking class...yum. And let me know if you want to guest post at the end of the summer or if I can for you :)
Beautiful post! This editorial is gorgeous. I often think back to where I was and how far I've come. I've actually made some pretty amazing strides the past few years which I'm really thankful about.
That is a LOVELY photoshoot.
My life has changed a lot in three years. A LOT.
This editorial is a dream. Check out the post I did on it!!! http://eye4pulchritude.blogspot.com/2011/02/dress-and-i.html
